About Moscow Education Show
According to UNESCO, today more than 50 thousand Russians study in foreign collages and universities. However, the statistics considers only those pursuing higher education or engaged in research activity, and doesn't say anything about those in language courses and other educational programs.
Though the number of Russians studying abroad is relatively small, the surveys reveal that vast majority of school alumni and students of Russian universities express the desire to become a part of international educational process. The problem, according to analysts, is in the lack of information about opportunities and access to foreign education for Russians.
Despite the high ratio of Internet penetration, Russians prefer to take vital decisions after personal communication. Perhaps the reason lies in the Russian mentality, or, perhaps it is much simpler - the older generation (namely the parents make the final decision in the matter of the education) remembers the era of the 1990's and still is afraid of fraudsters.
Nevertheless, the wall dividing Russia and the West disappears, the Russians increasingly travel abroad for both holidays and education. And in order to fully remove the obstacle, the joint efforts of all parties concerned should be made.
The Education Abroad Show is one of the most effective tools to realize the potential of Russian market, whereas it gives its visitors a chance to get all the information first hand, become self-confident and competent.
